As of today, Russia does not have "Starbucks"

The giant American coffee company, Starbucks, announced today, Monday, its decision to permanently exit the Russian market.

According to a statement published by Bloomberg Agency, "Starbucks" confirmed the termination of the brand's presence in the country due to the Russian special military operation in Ukraine.

"Starbucks has taken a decision to exit and its brand is no longer present in the Russian market," the statement said.

But the US company's statement stressed its continued support for its employees inside Russia, saying: "We will continue to support nearly 2,000 Green Apron partners in Russia, including payment for six months and helping partners move to new opportunities outside Starbucks."

Starbucks has suspended all business operations in Russia, including halting shipments of all company products, as part of its handling of its Moscow operation in Ukraine.
