Two somewhat special cabins have been installed since March 2022 in a pharmacy in Bussy-Saint-Georges (Seine-et-Marne).

These are medical teleconsultation spaces.

A way for the owners of the pharmacy to meet a pressing need, reports La Marne.

"Here the doctors are overloaded and they cannot take any more new patients, whereas the population increases", explain the pharmacists.

The latter had already made premises available to an already full health centre.

They finally opted for Tessan cabins, a start-up created in 2018, which has already installed 450 of these devices in France.

Quick appointments

Each cost 100.00 euros at the pharmacy.

Inside, there are seven devices including a thermometer and a stethoscope.

A screen allows the patient to be guided by a doctor who is a member of the National Council of the Order.

The system offers an appointment in 15 minutes or in seven days maximum for a specialist.

Since their installation, the cabins of Bussy-Saint-Georges have received more than 1,000 visits.
