This is likely to thunder again in France this Sunday.
The Météo-France agency has placed thirteen departments in the center of the country, threatened by thunderstorms, on orange alert for the whole day and until 6 a.m. tomorrow morning.
The alert mainly concerns Limousin, Auvergne and Poitou-Charentes, and specifically the departments of Haute-Vienne, Creuse, Corrèze, Cantal, Charente, Dordogne, Lot, Gironde, Loire, Haute-Loire, Lot-et- Garonne, Puy-de-Dôme and Vienne.
A risk of hail and gusts
Météo-France announces very hot weather for Sunday in the southern half, easily exceeding 30 degrees, and predicts that this heavy atmosphere will trigger thunderstorms in the afternoon, from Aquitaine to Franche-Comté, including "the activity can be temporarily strong, accompanied by a risk of hail and violent gusts”.
