In order to ensure the safety of railway transportation, since May 20, China Railway Nanchang Bureau has carried out a one-and-a-half-month "centralized repair" construction on the Jiangxi section of the Beijing-Kowloon Railway.

  This "centralized repair" covers 189 construction projects in 9 categories, including bed replacement and filling, bottom breaking and screen cleaning, and replacement and maintenance of long rails.

It is planned to replace the aging and severely worn equipment, ensure the safety and smooth flow of railway arteries with excellent equipment quality, and create favorable conditions for the transportation of key materials for the national economy and people's livelihood and passenger transportation.

  According to Zeng Mingsheng, head of the line section of the Jiujiang Bridge section of China Railway Nanchang Bureau, the "centralized repair" will use 78 "skylight" points to conduct comprehensive repairs on the Beijing-Kowloon Railway's rails, turnouts, sleepers and other basic equipment. Defective railway foundation beds are replaced to improve equipment quality and ensure line safety.

  Beijing-Kowloon Railway, as the main railway transportation artery running through the north and south of China, has a total length of 2,315 kilometers, runs through nine provinces and cities including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Hubei, Jiangxi, and Guangdong, and connects Beijing-Shanghai, Beijing-Guangzhou, Jingshan, Jingqin, Beijing Bao, Shide, Longhai and other railway lines.

The Jiangxi section of the railway is 731 kilometers long and has an annual freight volume of over 20 million tons, which plays an important role in promoting regional economic development in Jiangxi.

  It is understood that the "concentrated repair" of the Jiangxi section of the Beijing-Kowloon Railway will last until early July, with a total of 2,492 operators and 93 large-scale road maintenance machines. It is planned to replace 103.5 kilometers of rails, 680.9 kilometers of tamping lines, and 176 pieces of ballast shaping. km, which can greatly improve the quality of Beijing-Kowloon railway line equipment and ensure safe and smooth logistics and transportation during the resumption of work and production.
