Journalism Trust Initiative: an international label to promote news media

In May 2021, Reporters Without Borders launched a platform called the Journalism Trust Initiative, aimed at deploying a label guaranteeing the reliability, transparency and sustainability of the media.

Journalism Trust Initiative

recalls the genesis of the JTI and specifies its ambitions.

Open to all media, the platform offers three stages: a self-assessment, via a form to be completed, of its compliance with the JTI standard;

a transparency report, which each media can choose to disseminate publicly;

an external audit, independent evaluation by an accredited certifying body.
