Grimes decided to auction off the accessories she wore to the 2021 Met Gala to help Ukrainians who were victims of war.

Last year, the Canadian artist marked the event with a retro-futuristic look directly inspired by the matriarchal order of the Bene Gesserit from the mythology of

Dune

.

In addition to a dress signed Iris van Herpen, the singer wore a metal mask created by Chris Habana, but also a pair of elf ears imagined by Sofia Pavlova and a sword.

General mobilization

This sale organized by Artsy is held until May 26th.

In addition to Grimes' mask and pair of ears, which should go for a few thousand dollars, the sale also offers the works of dozens of artists who are committed to helping Ukrainians affected by the Russian invasion.

All profits will be donated to the Diaspora Relief and Razom associations which work to provide "food, shelter and evacuation support" to people in need, both on Ukrainian soil and on the Polish border.
