The flowers of the bindweed that color the early summer of the Tottori Sand Dunes are in full bloom.

Bindweed is a plant of the family Convolvulaceae that grows in clusters on sandy areas along the coast.

In the Tottori Sand Dunes in Tottori City, pale pink flowers with a diameter of about 5 cm have bloomed from the beginning of this month on the west side of the oasis and along the sea on the north side of the hill called "back of horses", and are now in full bloom.

According to the Tottori Sand Dunes Visitor Center, the number of flowers is larger than usual, so the visitors took pictures of the bindweed that blooms like a flower field on the sand.

A man in his 60s from Hyogo Prefecture said, "It blooms well in the harsh environment of sand and is beautiful. I will do my best not to lose to the flowers."

Eiyo Ishikawa, a guide at the Tottori Sand Dunes Visitor Center, said, "I want you to enjoy the world of flowers only at this time of year as a charm of the sand dunes, not just the round trip to the back of the horse."

The bindweed on the Tottori Sand Dunes can be enjoyed until the middle of next month.
