On the afternoon of May 20, the new type of high-yield "giant rice" cultivated by Yuan Longping's team entered the transplanting stage at the Dongbaizhuang Fish Farm in Ninghe District, Tianjin. Non-GMO "giant rice" varieties.
After the "giant rice" rice plant grows, the height can reach 1.8 to 2.2 meters, and the biomass per unit area can reach 40 tons/ha, which is more than 1.5 times that of existing rice.
In the process of transplanting, the "giant rice" adopts the single-plant transplanting mode, and the interval between each seedling is about 40 cm, leaving sufficient space for its growth.
