Zhongxin Finance, May 21st. On the 21st, the Chinese Nutrition Society released the "Illustrated Analysis of the Pagoda of Balanced Diet for Chinese School-aged Children (2022)".

  The Meal Pagoda for School-aged Children is based on the content of the Dietary Guidelines for School-aged Children (2022), combined with the actual situation of Chinese children's diet, and transforms the principle of balanced diet into a graphical representation of the quantity and proportion of various foods.

  The visual combination of the dietary pagoda for school-age children follows the principle of a balanced diet and reflects the nutritionally ideal basic food composition.

The pagoda is divided into 5 layers, each layer has a different size, reflecting the 5 types of food and the amount of food.

  The 5 types of food include cereals and potatoes, vegetables and fruits, livestock, poultry, fish and eggs, milk, soybeans and nuts, and cooking oils and salts.

  Food quantities are designed according to different energy requirement levels.

According to the energy needs of school-aged children at different ages, the balanced diet pagoda for 6-10 school-aged children, the balanced diet pagoda for 11-13-year-old school-aged children, and the balanced diet pagoda for 14-17-year-old school-aged children were formulated.

  The text notes next to the pagoda indicate the recommended range of daily food intake per person for a period of time when children of different ages have different energy needs.

Balanced Meal Pagoda for School-aged Children 6-10 Years Old

  The energy requirement level of school-age children aged 6-10: 1400-1600kcal/d.

  Physical activity and water intake:

  It is recommended that 6-year-old school-age children with low physical activity level drink at least 800ml of water per day, and the total water intake of water in the day and the overall diet (including water in food, soup, porridge, milk, etc.) is 1600ml.

It is recommended that school-aged children aged 7 to 10 drink at least 1000ml of water per day, and the total water intake in one day and overall dietary water intake is 1800ml.

In conditions of high temperature or high physical activity levels, water intake should be increased appropriately.

  School-aged children aged 6-10 are recommended to accumulate at least 60 minutes of moderate-to-high-intensity physical activity every day, mainly full-body aerobic activity, of which at least 3 days of high-intensity physical activity per week.

Be diverse in physical activity, including exercises that build muscle strength and/or bone health 3 days a week, and master at least one motor skill.

Balanced Meal Pagoda for School-aged Children 11-13 Years Old

  The energy requirement level of school-age children aged 11-13: 1800-2000kcal/d.

  Physical activity and water intake:

  It is recommended that boys aged 11-13 drink at least 1300ml of water per day and girls 1100ml; boys aged 11-13 should drink at least 2300ml of water a day and overall dietary water intake, and girls 2000ml.

In conditions of high temperature or high physical activity levels, water intake should be increased appropriately.

  School-aged children aged 11-13 are recommended to accumulate at least 60 minutes of moderate-to-high-intensity physical activity every day, mainly full-body aerobic activity, of which at least 3 days of high-intensity physical activity per week.

In conditions of high temperature or high physical activity levels, water intake should be increased appropriately.

  School-aged children aged 14-17 are recommended to accumulate at least 60 minutes of moderate-to-high-intensity physical activity every day, mainly full-body aerobic activity, of which at least 3 days of high-intensity physical activity per week.
