Life is the source of creation and performance

What really makes an actor is a way of creating for the people and down-to-earth "doing real work, practicing real skills, and seeking real fame".

General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized in his important speech at the opening ceremony of the Eleventh National Congress of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Tenth National Congress of the Chinese Writers Association: "Creation depends on hard work, performance depends on strength, image depends on shaping, efficiency depends on quality, and reputation depends on virtue and art" "The majority of literary and art workers should have awe for art and sincerity in their profession, and make real efforts, practice real skills, and seek real reputation."

As an actor, I always remind myself to always maintain awe and sincerity, to hone my skills and cultivate my true skills in the shaping of different roles.

Performance is the art of performing people, and people are complex, so there is no standard answer to performance.

When you think it's the way it is, there are often people who do it in unexpected ways, and this process makes the show extra charming.

Good roles are hard to come by.

"Li Huanying" is a very precious gift to me.

I won the Best Actress Award at the 34th China Film Golden Rooster Award for playing this role.

"Hello, Li Huanying" is a film made by director Jia Ling with all her love and longing. Its success shows that the true feelings are the most touching.

A mother's love and family can easily arouse empathy, and Li Huanying is a very attractive woman - she has both the tenacity and dedication of women in the 1980s and 1990s, and the optimism and open-mindedness of women in this era.

The most difficult part of shaping this character comes from the complex psychology of the character and the way of expression of "double crossing", so that the audience will not discover it during the viewing process, but it will also lay a foreshadowing in the details of the performance.

Therefore, the characters' emotions are often hidden below the level, which is a state of surging hearts. Only with better "forbearance" in the front, can the emotional outbursts behind Li Huanying be more direct to people's hearts.

In this process, the sense of proportion in the performance is particularly important.

During the creative process, I would often communicate with the director about the details of her life with her mother, and listen to her recount the little memories outside the script, from which I would understand the character and behavior of the characters, and then move towards the characters step by step.

Life is the source of creation and performance. It is a compulsory course for actors to put characters into life to experience and contemplate.

I still remember that when I was studying at the Beijing Film Academy, the teacher emphasized that being an actor should learn to observe life.

The experience of filming in the crew and on the set made me feel more and more the importance of observing life, feeling life, and experiencing life for actors.

The successful shaping of each character should be the result of penetrating life, refining life, and interpreting life.

"There are no small roles, only small actors".

For a long time after graduation, I didn't have the opportunity to play that kind of emotional and impactful film and television roles. Instead, I was exposed to a whole new field - stage comedy.

I played a variety of comedy roles on the stage: the entrepreneurial youth in "The Flower Girl", the home visiting teacher in "One Bowl of Lantern Festival"; the daughter-in-law who learned to deal with the relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law in "Happiness Plus" , There are also famous breeders in the county in "Happy Niujia Village".

It has been a rewarding experience for me to constantly explore my potential and challenge myself.

There is essentially no difference between acting in comedy and acting in movies. Both are based on sincerity and life as accumulation, but comedy has a sense of rhythm that is different from other art forms.

Therefore, I consciously learn the language rhythm and performance rhythm of comedy from excellent comedians.

These years of comedy experience have cultivated my sensitivity to comedy rhythm, and have found some ways of acting that suit me.

When I need it in film and television shooting, I can wake up these stored experiences and use them to make the characters more three-dimensional and vivid.

Also because the stage comedy is face to face with the audience, I can see the most timely and direct feedback from the scene, so I have a deeper feeling for the weight of the word "audience".

When switching to film and television performances, although there is no audience at the filming site, I know clearly that each of our actors serves the work, the play, and ultimately the audience.

Our goal is to tell a story that is loved by the audience, that the characters in the story are remembered by the audience, and that the emotions presented by the characters can be empathized with and resonate with the audience.

Audience recognition is the greatest reward for an actor.

The drama is bigger than the sky, and only when the drama is good can it have audience relationship. As for traffic, exposure and popularity, it should be the attention that comes with the recognition of the work.

Actors need this kind of attention to get more roles and opportunities, but never put the cart before the horse.

On the teaching building of my alma mater, Beijing Film Academy, there is this sentence: "Where dreams begin."

Many of us entered this industry with the dream of being an actor.

To be an actor means to be in awe of art and sincerity to the profession. It means to always put art and the audience in mind, maintain concentration, and create an excellent character image with heart and emotion.

What really makes an actor is a way of creating for the people and down-to-earth "doing real work, practicing real skills, and seeking real fame".

I am willing to continue working towards this goal.
