[Concurrent] Veteran Zhu Dongsheng

My name is Zhu Dongsheng, and I have served in the army.

He joined the army in 1984 and is now almost 58 years old.

So after this epidemic came, the first time (community) sent supplies or something, I started to sign up (volunteer).

[Commentary] Zhu Dongsheng lives in Verona Guidu Community, Yongfeng Street, Songjiang District, Shanghai.

At the beginning of the closure of the community, he and his daughter Zhu Lei signed up to join the volunteer team.

I feel a little distressed (daughter) because she does it in the middle of the night every day, even in the middle of the night, because she has to wait until the notification to do nucleic acid tomorrow, she still has to solitaire, she has to make a table, and she has to count all kinds of people.

Because she hadn't been exposed to this matter yet, she crossed the river by feeling the stones at first.

  [Concurrent] Daughter Zhu Lei

There are nearly 6,000 people in our community, and then three sites are divided, which means that there will be more than 1,900 people on my side who will do nucleic acid at my site, including some information such as antigens.

So in fact, at the beginning, we need to do a lot of sorting and sorting out of all the data to ensure which number is the most accurate.

That's why my father said that I would work until midnight every day at the beginning, because I had done seven or eight hours of nucleic acid or antigen work and returned home after finishing the work. Faced with so much manual data, I needed to keep going. Do data disassembly and figure out the base.

[Explanation] In Zhu Dongsheng's eyes, her daughter is serious and responsible, and in Zhu Lei's heart, Zhu Dongsheng is her proud father, especially when government supplies arrived at the gate of the community, the father who was nearly sixty years old said nothing. Just jumping on the car to unload the supplies made Zhu Lei both distressed and proud.

After all, he is old, but I am still very worried about his health.

Then he was carrying supplies before, and he jumped into the car without saying a word, and then moved, and then came back and told me that his waist was a little sore. In fact, I still feel bad for him.

But he said he would do it if he could, and do it if he could.

And now that he still has the strength, he can rush forward, so he is quite encouraging (encouraging) to me.

I also think that since he can do it, I am younger, and I need to do more to help everyone.

[Commentary] Zhu Lei's father's volunteer work has always inspired Zhu Lei. Although she still has two young children to take care of at night, she will not delay the work at hand even if it is late, and she has done it quite well.

  [Concurrent] Daughter Zhu Lei

They were happy to welcome me and greet me just by seeing me back.

And my daughter, including my son, every time I go out, I say that my mother is going to be a doctor. The child is still young, two and a half years old. He doesn't understand.

Then the proud expression was very happy, and I was very relieved in my heart.

I hope that I can also set an example for them in the future, and I hope that in the future, when they have the ability, they can take some responsibilities like this.

[Commentary] Zhu Dongsheng said that in the process of being a volunteer, many things happened that moved him very much.

This also made Zhu Dongsheng firm that his choice of volunteering with his daughter was a very meaningful thing. He firmly believed that Shanghai's epidemic prevention and control work would be successful.

Sometimes when delivering (materials), some (volunteers) fell down when it rained on the road. The residents saw it and took the initiative to take out some band-aids, such as safflower oil, and said that our family has it. , very enthusiastic.

So these are things that are very heartwarming for us, and I think it is very meaningful to do this thing.

  [Concurrent] Daughter Zhu Lei

I am also very grateful to them (volunteers), that is, I feel that we are now "comradeship in arms", that's the feeling, I believe (we) can defeat this virus.
