The garden is one of the parent gardens for expanding lychee cultivation in Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan and other provinces, and is known as the "living lychee museum".
There are 39 lychee trees over 500 years old in the garden, of which 9 are over 1,000 years old, and the oldest one is a lychee tree with a 1,300-year-old age.
