Guangdong Huidong Sea Turtle National Nature Reserve was established in 1985. It is the only national sea turtle nature reserve on the coastline of mainland China and the Asian continental shelf. It is located at the junction of Daya Bay and Red Bay in Guangdong. The land area is about 2 square kilometers and the sea area is about 16 square kilometers.
