In order to fulfill his murderous fantasies, a man in England brutally beats a randomly selected eighteen-year-old to death with a hammer.

A court in the southwest English city of Plymouth therefore sentenced the 24-year-old to life imprisonment on Thursday.

He must spend at least 30 years behind bars.

The man attacked the young woman at a bus stop in November 2021 and hit her with a carpenter's hammer.

When he realized she was alive, he pulled her into his car and drove away.

At a distant location, the man then hit his victim again several times and murdered the eighteen-year-old.

A few days later he turned himself in to the police and confessed to the murder.

The perpetrator had a "morbid fascination" with serial killers, the court hearing revealed.

Investigators found thousands of images "of a disturbing and dark nature" reminiscent of horror films on his cell phone.

The man was particularly taken with Ted Bundy, who raped and murdered dozens of women in the 1970s and was executed in 1989.
