"Nika"

A dramatic story about the bright but short life of the prodigy poet Nika Turbina from director Vasilisa Kuzmina, who worked on the TV series Alice, has returned from the American film festival South by Southwest.

Nika Turbina conquered the USSR with her mature rhymes beyond her age.

At the age of eight, she toured the country with her artist mother, and at 27, traumatized by the absence of a childhood and the strictness of her parent, she tried to rediscover herself.

According to Vasilisa Kuzmina, Nika in the film became a collective image of the children of that time. 

“Almost all Soviet child prodigies ended tragically, and late Soviet children, like Nika, were looking for themselves in the landscape of an unrecognizable country.

I wanted to talk about it, ”says the director.

The main roles in the film were played by Elizaveta Yankovskaya and Anna Mikhalkova. 

"Decided: Brother"

In the action-packed thriller directed by Alexander Amirov, the criminal story of two brothers continues.

The plot focuses on the difficult fate of a once successful lawyer who got involved in crime.

This time, the main character Kasha (Alexander Frolov) decides to radically change his life, but you can’t just run away from the past, it overtakes you suddenly and at the wrong time - in a rehabilitation center.

Kasha has to flee to his hometown.

He will try to get out of trouble, help his brother and save his friend Asya from self-destruction.

The film "The Decider" was released in 2012 and became a great event for the Buryat cinema.

In 2015, the premiere of the second part took place, and in 2019, a prequel of the first two films “The Decider.

Zero".

In the new tape, the action will unfold after the events of the 2012 project.  

"Sailed!"

Pasha (Roman Fomin) believes that there is nothing more romantic than proposing to his girlfriend on a ship in an environment similar to a scene from the movie Titanic.

He decides to go to sea on his father's yacht (Igor Zolotovitsky).

The hero creates ideal conditions for a marriage proposal, but chooses a not very good time - not only Pasha, but also his father needed the ship for an illegal operation.

And then a school friend gets in the way... A series of unexpected events turns a romantic evening into real madness.

The picture became the debut directorial work of the musician Yuri Yarushnikov (DJ Hobot).

“We decided to take a risk, found a middle ground and did what practically no one else does, namely, we created an audience comedy with black humor,” said Yuri Yarushnikov.

"Clone" (Dual)

The director of the black comedy "The Art of Self-Defense" Riley Stearns presents the audience with a new full-length film "Clone".

This is a fantastic action movie about the future, in which people have to fight their own clones - the perfect killing machines.

In the center of the plot is the girl Sarah.

Upon learning of a serious illness, she decides to create a copy of herself, which, after her death, will take care of the heroine's loved ones.

However, fate presents a gift, and the girl recovers, but it is no longer possible to deactivate the clone.

Sarah will have to face herself in a dangerous battle and defend her right to exist in a robotic world. 

The film starred the star of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Karen Gillan, Aaron Paul, known for his role as Jesse in the TV series Breaking Bad, and Theo James, who played the role of Four in the Divergent trilogy.

"Four Good Days" (Four Good Days)

Directed by Rodrigo Garcia, the drama Four Good Days is based on a true story told by Washington Post journalist Eli Saslow in the article “How's Amanda?

A History of Truth, Lies, and American Addiction." 

Mila Kunis starred in the film.

She played 31-year-old Molly, who struggles with drug addiction.

The girl is trying for the 15th time to go through a detox course and is preparing for an injection of an opioid antagonist - for this she needs to be off drugs for four days.

The task becomes almost impossible for the girl.

Tired of trying to overcome a deadly habit, she turns to her mother (Glenn Close) for help, with whom she has not communicated for a long time.

Together, the heroines go through all the difficulties, tears and breakdowns in order to find a new life and return trust and love to their relationship. 

For the first time, the public saw the film at the Sundance Independent Film Festival in January 2020, and in 2022, the tape received an Oscar nomination in the Best Song category (Somehow You Do).
