What area are you in?
A little reminder for the dizzy, here are the areas of the academies.
Zone A: the academies of Besançon, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Grenoble, Limoges, Lyon and Poitiers.
Zone B: Aix-Marseille, Amiens, Caen, Lille, Nancy-Metz, Nantes, Nice, Orléans-Tours, Reims, Rennes, Rouen and Strasbourg.
Zone C: Paris, Créteil, Versailles, Montpellier and Toulouse.
When will the 2022-2023 school year take place?
Schoolchildren, middle and high school students will return to their respective establishments on Thursday, September 1, 2022. The pre-return for teachers will take place on Wednesday, August 31.
What are the school holiday periods?
The All Saints holidays will take place from Saturday October 22 to Monday November 7, 2022 for the three zones.
Christmas holidays from Saturday December 17 to Tuesday January 3, 2023 for the three zones.
The winter holidays will extend from February 4 to March 6, 2023, depending on the area.
And spring break from April 8 to May 9, 2023, depending on the area.
What are the dates of the winter holidays or "February" 2023, according to your academy?
In zone A, the winter holidays will begin on Saturday February 4, 2023 and end on Monday February 20, 2023. A very (very) short class period!
Pupils in this area, returning from Christmas vacation on January 3 will (already) be on winter vacation on… February 4, then!
For zone B, they will take place from Saturday February 11, 2023 to Monday February 27, 2023. Zone C students will go on holiday on Saturday February 18, 2023 and return to class on Monday March 6, 2023.
What are the dates for the 2023 spring “or Easter” holidays?
The pupils of zone A will be the first on holidays, from Saturday April 8 to Monday April 24, 2023. For those of zone B, it will be from Saturday April 15 to Tuesday May 2, 2023. Finally, for zone C, the holidays spring will begin on Saturday April 22 and end on Tuesday May 9, 2023.
Note this time that students in zone A (Besançon, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Grenoble, Limoges, Lyon and Poitiers) have an interest in taking advantage of this period of leave because the end of classes will only ring two and a half months later !
When will the 2022-2023 school year end?
The 2022-2023 school year will end for the three zones on Saturday July 8, 2023, the date of the start of the long holidays, therefore, for those who have lessons on Saturday and Friday July 7 for the others.
A later date than previous years.

Tuesday, November 1, 2022 (All Saints), Friday, November 11, 2022 (Armistice of 1918), Sunday, December 25, 2022 (Christmas), Sunday, January 1, 2023 (New Year), Monday, April 10, 2023 (Easter Monday), Monday, May 1, 2023 (Labour Day), Monday, May 8, 2023 (Victory of the Allied forces over Nazi Germany), Thursday, May 18, 2023 (Ascension Day), Monday, May 29, 2023 (Whit Monday), Friday July 14, 2023 (National Day) and Tuesday August 15, 2023 (Assumption).

And so what are the good plans for building bridges during the 2022-2023 school year?
Unlike this year 2022, the public holidays of May will fall on a Monday and not a Sunday!
Good news to stall family bridges even if May 1 and 8, 2023 will be during the spring break period in zones B and C.
In 2023, to be able to take advantage of a long weekend, you will have to wait until Thursday May 18 (might as well tell you that there won't be many people in the office on Friday May 19, 2023) or Tuesday August 15 (if you're not already on vacation).
For Ascension (which falls on Thursday May 18, 2023)

the Ministry of National Education has already decided that students will not have class on Friday May 19 and Saturday May 20.
Whit Monday falls on May 29, 2023, ten days later.
