F-Boy Island, Naked Attraction and Is it cake?

All are the new series on HBO, Discoveryplus and Netflix.

Naked Attraction originally comes from the UK, but will now have a Swedish version with a premiere in June.

In the program, the participants date based on appearance.

- It's about dating based on naked bodies.

If other program series like Love is blind are about dating without seeing each other, then this is the opposite, says Helle Schunnesson, digital editor at Elle.

What is the purpose?

- You can ask yourself that.

Those who have done the program say that they want to de-dramatize nudity and show the beautiful and unique in that all bodies, says Helle Schunnesson and continues:

- I think it feels like something that went on Kanal 9 2006. It feels like an outdated concept.

At the same time, there is a huge need to fill the streaming services with content and then you like what is scandalous, because it gets a lot of viewing.

We will see if they have managed to update the concept so that it feels relevant.

F-Boy Island to Sweden

Another reality series that gets its Swedish premiere is F-Boy Island.

- Fuckboy is a concept in contemporary dating culture that is about a certain kind of guys who may not be so nice.

They want to meet as many as possible, lie and stop hearing.

This concept is about lifting the fuckboy even more into the dating world.

In the program, three female participants are on an island and will date several boys.

- The girls should read who is a good guy and who is a bad guy, says Helle Schunnesson.

Last year, there was a debate about reality series, among other things, after accusations of abuse in the Swedish Paradise Hotel.

The program was eventually shut down to relaunch in a new format.

How was this program received?

- It has not been received very well.

People are upset because we have already seen a lot of drama in reality series, what one thinks is a piggy macho culture and harmful gender norms.

People are surprised that you do this completely undressed.

You yourself mean that you want to investigate this phenomenon.

Realistic cakes

Is it cake?

is an even new program concept that is now being streamed on Netflix.

The inspiration originally comes from social media.

- It is a viral phenomenon that comes from Tiktok, where you can watch movies on an ordinary object and then put a knife in it and then you can see that it is a super realistic cake.

This is a typical example of how to take viral content that goes well on social media and try to make TV out of it.

This is something I think we will see more of, says Helle Schunnesson.
