This year, May 15th is International Family Day and the eighth National Day of Peace of Mind.

According to the Fifth National Consensus Report on the Treatment of Helicobacter pylori Infection, the infection rate of Helicobacter pylori in my country is still about 50%.

The Expert Consensus on the Prevention, Control and Management of Helicobacter pylori Infection in Chinese Residents' Households (2021) clearly states that "prevention and control of Helicobacter pylori infection in households" is an important strategy to block Helicobacter pylori infection and transmission.

Professor Zhang Guoxin, director of the Gastroenterology Department of Jiangsu Provincial People's Hospital, told the Science and Technology Daily reporter that Helicobacter pylori is the only bacteria found so far that can survive in an environment with high gastric acid concentration in the stomach. It produces special urease by itself and releases some alkalis such as ammonia. Sexual substances, neutralize stomach acid, and create a living environment suitable for oneself.

In December 2021, the U.S. Institute of Toxicology, a subsidiary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, released the 15th edition of the Carcinogen Report, and Helicobacter pylori was listed as a clear carcinogen.

"Clinical studies have found that most duodenal ulcers and gastric ulcers are related to Helicobacter pylori infection, and Helicobacter pylori infection will increase the incidence of peptic ulcers." Zhang Guoxin introduced, "Helicobacter pylori infection mainly affects the stomach. The environment and the structure of the stomach wall cause patients to suffer from chronic gastritis, gastric ulcers and other diseases, as well as stomach pain, bloating, nausea, acid regurgitation, indigestion and other uncomfortable symptoms, which have an impact on the health and life of patients.”

Therefore, if an infected person has stomach pain, bloating, frequent hiccups, or loss of appetite, they should seek medical attention in time and receive regular treatment.

Active screening and treatment of Helicobacter pylori are important measures and ways to effectively reduce the risk of gastric cancer.

Although Helicobacter pylori infection may lead to gastric cancer, current research believes that it is a chronic development process from infection with Helicobacter pylori to gastritis, gastric ulcer and then gastric cancer, which takes about 10 years on average, but a cure for Helicobacter pylori infection , can effectively reduce the risk of gastric cancer.

Zhang Guoxin suggested that after Helicobacter pylori infection, there are two situations in the treatment: for asymptomatic patients, or patients whose normal life is not affected, there is no need for excessive treatment, and regular re-examinations are required according to the doctor's advice; Ulcers, or patients with a family history of gastrointestinal tumors, need to receive standard and standardized treatment. Do not use drugs without authorization, and it is not recommended to interrupt treatment without permission in the middle to prevent the drug resistance of Helicobacter pylori and increase the difficulty of treatment.

According to experts, Helicobacter pylori is transmitted orally, so you should pay attention to dietary hygiene, eat less raw and cold food, and clean and disinfect if you eat it; pay attention to the cleaning and disinfection of daily tableware; avoid eating at roadside stalls with unqualified hygiene qualifications; immunity People with low strength should avoid gatherings, or choose separate meal systems or use public chopsticks during gatherings; parents should avoid chewing food before feeding their children; pay attention to regulating emotions and avoid emotional stimuli such as excessive tension, anxiety, and anger.
