Few countries are as organized as Switzerland to give an overview of the best sightseeing routes.

The so-called Grand Tour of Switzerland (the Grand Tour of Switzerland) takes travelers to 22 lakes, five trails through the Alps, and 12 UNESCO World Heritage sites within 1,600 kilometers of walking, cycling, driving and cable cars.

Switzerland is known for its tourist-friendly signage and infrastructure, and is currently working to facilitate movement for travelers by introducing a new application for the Grand Tour of Switzerland, which is available for Android and iOS phones.

The free app breaks down cross-country trails into several easier trails, starting in areas such as Basel and Zurich, including landmarks such as the Rhine Falls, one of the largest in Europe.

More ambitious travelers can use the app to accompany them on a nine-day tour that takes them on a circular tour around the country, beginning and ending in Zurich.

The app has its own in-house navigation and also provides information on the best shooting locations, nearby charging stations for electric cars, and where to stay in the evening.

Swiss tourism officials say a full tour costs up to 870 Swiss francs ($880) with accommodations, but remember that transportation and restaurants can add up to a holiday in Switzerland, where prices are among the highest in Europe.
