Amazon, Alphabet, Apple, Microsoft, Netflix, Meta: Major tech companies are suffering in the stock market right now, some of them have lost market values of $500 billion and more since the beginning of the year.
They have sometimes frightened investors with fewer subscribers or a rather gloomy outlook, at the same time the large central banks are now tightening their monetary policy again, even in Europe.
And then there are many new rules and legislative initiatives to restrict the largest Internet corporations in particular.
