The Professional Territorial Health Community (CPTS) of Greater Annecy (Haute-Savoie) recently set up a system to promote access of the population to a doctor.

A single telephone number is now available for any patient who needs to consult but does not come under the hospital emergency services, explains

Le Dauphiné Libéré

.

A doctor in 48 hours

By calling 04 26 78 49 32 Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to noon, residents of the urban community can obtain a medical appointment within 48 hours.

The service is particularly useful for patients who do not have a general practitioner or for whom the latter does not have free time slots.

400 health professionals agreed to participate in the scheme.

They are a total of 1,650 to practice in Greater Annecy.

By getting involved in this program, doctors hope to unclog hospital emergencies and provide care adapted to the demand of patients in the city.
