Due to the recent continuous rainfall and the increase in the outflow of the Three Gorges Reservoir, the water levels of the Yangtze River and Poyang Lake have both risen.
As of 8:00 on May 14th, the water level of the Yangtze River Hukou Station rose to 15.14 meters, which was 0.18 meters higher than that at 8:00 yesterday, and was 0.96 meters higher than the same period of the previous year; the water level of Xingzi Station, the iconic hydrological station of Poyang Lake, was 15.28 meters, which was 15.28 meters higher than that of yesterday. At 8 o'clock, it rose 0.15 meters, which was 0.55 meters higher than the same period of last year.
