On the 15th, 50 years after Okinawa returned to the mainland, the government and Okinawa Prefecture will jointly hold a commemorative ceremony.

At the ceremony venue in Okinawa, the people concerned were preparing on the 14th.

The ceremony to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Okinawa's return to the mainland will be co-sponsored by the government and Okinawa Prefecture, and will be held at the same time by connecting two venues, Okinawa and Tokyo, online.

Of these, about 1,000 people, including Prime Minister Kishida and Governor Tamaki, will attend the ceremony held at the Okinawa Convention Center in Ginowan City, Okinawa Prefecture.

Preparations for the ceremony were underway at the venue, and a private rehearsal was held from the morning on the 14th.

At the rehearsal, I was able to check the flow of the ceremony and reception by connecting online with the venue in Tokyo.

Outside the venue, police officers walked to check for suspicious objects in the area, while people involved in the rehearsal went in and out one after another.

The ceremony will be held from 2:00 pm on the 15th, and NHK will broadcast the ceremony on general TV.
