The first semi-final of Eurovision 2022 is held this Tuesday, May 10 in Turin.
It will be broadcast live from 9 p.m. on Culturebox, channel 14 of TNT.
The Italian singer Diodato will sing, out of competition,
Fai Rumore
, with which he should have defended his country's chances at Eurovision 2020 which was canceled due to the pandemic.
The title became an anthem during the confinement in Italy.
“It's a way to complete the circle of these two years and all the transformations that the song has known.
It's a way to conclude a journey and move forward, "said the 40-year-old artist at a press conference on Tuesday.

There will be emotion, this Tuesday evening, during the first semi-final of Eurovision.
On the competition side, the Ukrainian group Kalush Orchestra will resonate with their song
Stefania
, transforming their three-minute time on stage into an unofficial celebration of their country at war.
Then, a little later, moments before the announcement of the results, Diodato will sing
Fai Rumore
, the song with which he would have represented Italy at Eurovision two years ago if the Covid-19 pandemic had not not caused the cancellation of the competition.
Listen carefully during the chorus: you will hear it taken up in chorus by the crowd, because this piece is not quite like the others this side of the Alps.
In 2020,
Fai Rumore
was in a way the anthem of confinement.
Originally, this ballad is about a couple in crisis.
The singer urges his half to "make noise", "to say something", because he "can no longer bear" the "unnatural silence" that surrounds them.
“A bridge with other human beings”
These words found an echo among the transalpine population who, cloistered at home, despaired one day of finding clamors and rumors of what some then called "the world before".
Social networks were inundated with videos showing Italians at their balconies and windows giving voice to this melancholic and strangely unifying melody.

"I expressed in this song very intimate feelings that created a bridge with other human beings," Diodato said at a press conference on Tuesday morning.
The 40-year-old singer says he has received messages about it from around the world in recent years.
He says that Monday evening, during the dress rehearsal, the Armenian candidate, Rosa Linn, came to see him: “She sang the song to me.
It was surreal.
It's so touching to see that emotion is able to touch someone who doesn't speak Italian.

" To buckle the buckle "
The visual designed especially for Eurovision will also help get the message across to non-Italian speakers.
"We start from an image of isolation then, with the force of emotion, of will, we cross humanity which seems frozen and slowly comes back to life", explains Diodato.
He will be surrounded by dancers whose choreography will emphasize the importance of human contact.
"It's a kind of journey," he continues.
This story belongs to so many others.

The artist, who considers himself rather “lucky”, seems to have no regrets not having competed in Eurovision in 2020. “I am happy to be there [in Turin] as a guest, I am not a competitor, I live things more calmly, he says.
I see in my participation a way to complete the loop of these two years and all the transformations that the song has known.
It's a way to wrap up a journey and move on.
The next step for him will be a European tour in the fall.
It would be nice to hear
Fai Rumore
resound in France.
