Warhol portrait of Monroe sold at auction for a record $195 million

All proceeds from the sale of the portrait will be used to finance a charitable foundation.

Previously, the painting was exhibited at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, the Georges Pompidou Center in Paris and the Tate Gallery in London.

Earlier, the head of the Russian Ministry of Culture, Olga Lyubimova, said that exhibits from the collection of patrons Mikhail and Ivan Morozov had returned to Russia.
