His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, stressed the importance of concerted and complementary efforts with regard to cultural dissemination and specialized media, and setting the necessary plans, which would contribute to achieving Sharjah’s cultural message and preserving the emirate’s qualitative achievements in Various forms of human knowledge, pointing to the need to continue developing cultural media work, and to attract more talented young writers.
This came during his meeting, yesterday morning, with the editors of the cultural and literary magazines issued by the Department of Culture in Sharjah, in the home of Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi.
His Highness praised the Department of Culture’s continuous efforts in the field of cultural publishing, and the enlightened materials and ideas presented by magazines in various fields, and their contribution to supporting the cultural process in the Emirate, directing His Highness to work on further development by activating future plans for the benefit of the reader.
His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, reviewed the emirate's pioneering experience in the field of culture over many years, recalling the various stages it passed through, especially in the field of cultural publications, and his keenness for culture to be the foundation of human building, addressing the development of cultural work in the emirate at all levels, which It extended outside it in various Arab capitals through various forums in poetry, theater and literature, which necessitates the improvement of performance and its continuous improvement.
The meeting dealt with the importance of the experience of specialized magazines issued and supervised by the Department of Culture in Sharjah in the cultural fields and fields, namely the theater magazine, the cultural Sharjah, Al-Hira from Sharjah, Al-Sharqiya, Al-Wusta, and Al-Rafid, and the follow-up of the cultural affairs in the field of theater, poetry and literature inside and outside the country.
