It was confirmed that a large-scale landslide occurred on the slope facing the Nakatsugawa River in Sakae Village in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism continues to monitor the river as it may overflow if the sediment collapses and flows into it.

On the morning of the 9th, a nearby resident contacted the village on the slope facing the Nakatsugawa flowing through Sakae Village Sakai, saying that a landslide had occurred.



The Yuzawa Sabo Office of the Hokuriku Regional Development Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism confirmed that the landslide occurred on a scale of about 100 meters in length, about 200 meters in width, and about 7 meters in depth, with an estimated 140,000 cubic meters of sediment. Seems to have collapsed.



According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and the village, no damage has been confirmed so far, but in the future, if it rains a lot and the sediment collapses and flows in, the river may overflow.



The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has installed cameras on site to monitor slopes, and will listen to the opinions of experts and take necessary measures in the future.
