An event was held in a field in Niigata City to pull out the bulbs of the tulips that had finished blooming so that they could be planted at home and bloom again next spring.

In the field of about 13,500 square meters of the facility "Ikutopia Shokuhana" in Chuo-ku, Niigata City, flowers are planted in each season, and tulips and violas bloom in spring.



On the 10th, an event was held to pull out the tulip bulbs that had finished blooming, and about 340 people participated in the morning session.



Participants carefully dug up the soil at the base with a shovel and extracted a total of 25,000 bulbs.



The extracted bulbs can be taken home, and if they are planted in the fall, they will bloom again next spring.



A 4-year-old girl who participated with her mother said, "I enjoyed digging the bulbs."



In addition, a woman in her 50s who participated as a couple said, "I want to grow beautifully colored flowers with a planter."



Kimiko Ikeda, manager of Ikutopia Shokuhana, said, "There are various varieties of tulips, so I hope you will take good care of them at home and enjoy them."
