Toshihiro Nakayama, a professor at Keio University, who is an international politician specializing in American politics and diplomacy, has passed away.

He was 55 years old.

Originally from Tokyo, Mr. Nakayama has been a professor at Keio University's Faculty of Policy Management since 2014 after completing a doctoral course at Aoyama Gakuin University Graduate School and working as a senior researcher at the Japan Institute for International Studies.



In addition to writing books such as "American Ideology" on the theme of American conservativeness and "Intervening America" ​​following American diplomacy since the 1990s, he frequently appeared in NHK and private broadcast news and programs. I have explained the outlook for the US presidential election and diplomatic issues.



Recently, he appeared on NHK Special broadcasted in February and March, and explained and proposed the response of the United States, which was invaded by Russia's Ukraine, and the international community such as Japan.



According to an announcement from Keio University, Mr. Nakayama died of subarachnoid hemorrhage on the night of the 1st of this month, and the funeral was held only by his close relatives.
