The American song contest is led by artists Snoop Dog and Kelly Clarksson and airs on NBC.

The concept is taken from the Eurovision song contest.

Of the famous names who were in the starting field from the beginning, only the veteran Michael Bolton, who represents Connecticut, remains.

The other artists who made it to the finals are Tyler Braden from Tennessee, Chloe Fredericks from North Dakota, Jordan Smith from Kentucky, Ni / Co from Alabama, Tenelle from American Samoa, Grant Knoche from Texas, Riker Lynch from Colorado and Allen Stone who represents Washington.

Also the K-pop artist Alexa from Oklahoma.

She is one of the favorites and her song, "Wonderland" has been partly written by the Swedish artist Cazziopeia.

- Alexa is huge on Tiktok, and her song has over two million streams on Spotify, which can not be compared with any of the other contributions.

So it is definitely a winning candidate, says music journalist Bella Qvist.

It is the middle veteran Christer Björkman who is behind the concept American song contest, together with Peter Settman, Anders Lenhoff and Ola Melzig.

But the competition has so far received a lukewarm reception from the American television audience.

The first round on March 28 had almost 2.9 million viewers, but by the fourth round the number of viewers had dropped by more than half, to 1.4 million.
