On May 8, as the last set of 500-meter-long steel rails was laid on the roadbed, it marked the completion of the entire Xingquan Railway, which passed through 14 old revolutionary bases and counties, laying a solid foundation for the opening and operation of the entire line.

  The Xingquan Railway started construction in April 2017. The main line has a total length of 464.16 kilometers, a design speed of 160 kilometers per hour, and a bridge-tunnel ratio of up to 87.05%.

The Xingguo-Qingliu section of the line has been opened in advance at the end of September 2021. The Qingliu-Quanzhou section of the track-laying connection is planned to be ready for operation in September this year, and the next project will enter the static acceptance stage in an orderly manner.

  Xingquan Railway is an important part of the railway passage from the southeast coast to the central and southwest regions. It is a regional passenger and freight co-line railway that supports the construction of high-quality development demonstration areas in Ganzhou and western Fujian revolutionary old areas with services. It will improve the transportation capacity of the southeast coast. It is of great significance for improving the layout of the regional road network to facilitate the products of the old area to go to the world through Quanzhou Port and the Greater Bay Area.
