The trial of 20 Egyptians who used the wheat crop in the manufacture of freekeh

The Minya Governorate in Egypt referred 20 people to the Public Prosecution office for exploiting the wheat crop in the manufacture of grits.

The concerned authorities monitored the exploitation of the wheat crop that was scheduled to be supplied to Shun and the governorate silos for personal use by 20 people, and their use in the manufacture of grits.

Earlier, the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade issued a decision, that farmers hand over part of the wheat crop, not less than 12 ardebs per acre as a minimum, according to the agricultural holding registered in the Ministry of Agriculture and government agencies.

The ministry also prohibited farmers from selling what they had left of the farm to other than the marketing agencies of the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade.

The wheat crop that was supplied in Al-Shoun and designated silos in Minya Governorate amounted to 87,104 tons and 527 kg, since the beginning of the wheat crop supply season, according to the Ministry of Supply.
