Part of Bernard Tapie's furniture will be auctioned during a sale organized on July 6 at the Atelier Richelieu, according to information from

the Sunday newspaper

This is the furniture that was in the Hôtel de Cavoye, in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, where the businessman died on October 3, 2021. The former minister had bought this private mansion from Hubert de Givenchy in 1986.

Artus Enchères is organizing this sale called “The Bernard Tapie Collection, a French passion”.

It is mandated by the courts of Paris and Bobigny.

The revenue must indeed be used to settle the debts of Bernard Tapie which would amount to 600 million euros according to the investigation carried out by

180 lots estimated between 4 and 5 million euros

180 lots will be offered during this event: 13 paintings, 128 pieces of furniture, 25 lights and 14 rugs.

There is "a vast and exceptional center table with six Atlanteans supporting a tray plated with green jasper from the Empire period, according to a design by Luigi Valadier, installed under the stone staircase which led to the private apartments", describes the

An "emblematic work by the Flemish painter Paul de Vos" is also among the works put up for auction.

These prizes are estimated between 4 and 5 million euros.

All these assets were seized in 1994, as part of the Crédit Lyonnais affair, before being returned to the former OM boss in 2008.
