The artist, who resides in Abu Dhabi and holds a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering, considered that there is a link between the field of aircraft maintenance in which she works, and plastic art, both of which require high skills, focus and ability to innovate, explaining that she has been practicing drawing since her childhood, She was passionate about everything related to drawing and making shapes with paper clips, with the encouragement of her teachers in the school, who helped her refine her talent, and she continued to work on developing it by looking at the work of different artists and learning from them.

Maryam explained that her paintings are not limited to a specific subject or direction, so she experimented with classic, abstract and portrait works according to the idea or message that she seeks to present through the painting, pointing out that she turned to portraiture two years ago, and her most important work in this field is the “Pulse of the Nation” that she executed In eight months, it is a painting of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, adding: “I am also proud of the painting (Zayed in the Heart), which is one of the largest paintings that I participated in at the International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition in Abu Dhabi in 2021 However, at dawn on the opening day of the exhibition, the painting had an accident during its transportation, and it turned from a dream into a broken painting like my feelings at the time.

And Maryam continued: “After this incident, I started working on implementing a larger painting measuring 2.5 by three meters, on the occasion of (the fiftieth year) and talking about the achievements of my beloved country, and it took two months to implement, and the painting was displayed in the youth pavilion at (Expo 2020 Dubai), as it completed its final touches. In front of the audience, my feeling at the time was indescribable pride that I was able to be part of this global event, which is a huge achievement for me, and I am proud of my participation in the World Summit of Governments that was held last April in Dubai, as I was chosen to present a live drawing show in front of the audience, and I was honored to attend His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and his encouragement to me.”

About her tendency to employ her talent in drawing in a special project, Maryam Al Hosani said that she started her small project in the ninth grade by drawing on clothes to transform ordinary clothes into distinctive pieces of art, and expanded her project over time to produce exclusive designs with an Arabic character, as well as drawing on bags. cups and more.
