Imprisonment for a woman who tried to get pregnant from her husband without his work

A regional court in Bielefeld (Germany) has sentenced a 39-year-old woman to six months in prison for sexually assaulting her husband, for trying to become pregnant without his knowledge.

DW said that the court ruled in favor of the 42-year-old man, after it was found that the woman had resorted to defrauding him, with the aim of achieving her goal and becoming pregnant.

In detail, the woman committed several tricks, including sabotaging contraceptives, which the court considered a "sexual assault" because it was taking place without the partner's knowledge.

Judge Astrid Salowsky, who investigated whether the crime constituted rape, found that after reading case law on this type of abuse, she decided to charge the woman with sexual assault instead.

Local newspaper Neue Westfälische and DW reported that although the woman was unsuccessful in her attempts to conceive, she sent the man a Whats App where she admitted to tampering with his condoms.

On the basis of this, the man decided to file charges against the woman, who later admitted that she had tried to manipulate her partner.
