A beautifully shaped lottery ticket that changes the life of an American woman
An American woman from Macomb County, Michigan, won $2 million from a lottery ticket she bought just because she liked how it looked.
The 44-year-old bought a Multiplier Spectacular ticket based on its shape and color that caught her eye.
The woman told lottery officials that the $2 million ticket she won was beautiful. She liked "the color and design, so I decided to give it a try."
"When I scratched the ticket and saw that I won two million dollars, I had to double because I thought I was reading it wrong," she added.
The woman, who changed the course of her life after the profit, chose to receive a lump sum of approximately $1.2 million over 30 annual payments for the full amount.
The woman said she would use her earnings to pay the bills and save the rest.
