The current Jimbocho Main Store Building, which was completed in 1981, has a sales floor area of ​​about 1000 tsubo and handles 1.4 million books. It has been popular as a landmark of Tokyo, but due to the deterioration of the facility, it was decided to rebuild it, and the store will be temporarily closed.
