The succession of Karl Lagerfeld continues, three years after the disappearance of the couturier who spent at Chanel.

For now, the heiress remains Choupette, the rentier cat.

On Friday, everyday objects from the designer burst through the ceiling at an auction in Cologne.

Pierre Mothes, vice president at Sotheby's, led these auctions.

Drawings between 40,000 and 90,000 euros

"The objects that have made particularly high prices are the objects that were linked, if you will, to his activity as a designer", he explains at the microphone of Europe 1.

"And his designs have been recognized by the market since they have been sold for between 40,000 and 90,000 euros. Choupette's scratcher, which is still a fairly simple cat scratcher, has a price completely disconnected from its initial value : it was sold for nearly €500. A pencil sharpener and a tape dispenser, two silver office objects, set a record since they were sold for more than €6,000."

The sale of the first part of the estate of the former artistic director of the Chanel house had totaled 12 million euros, four times the estimates, last December, in Monaco.

More than 1,400 bidders were registered.
