A classroom was held in Sosa City, Chiba Prefecture, to learn the traditional method of making "Mino", a farming tool that removes rice husks from grains.

"Winnow" is a farm tool that removes rice husks and dust by putting grain fruits and shaking them up and down.

Production began in earnest in the Kizumi district of Sosa City during the Edo period, and the manufacturing technique of knitting using wisteria and bamboo has been designated as an important intangible folk cultural property of the country.

Approximately 20 people, including members of the Preservation Society and those who are interested in old tools, participated in the traditional cooking class held on the 7th.

Then, I dug out a softened wisteria vine that was buried in the soil, separated the skin from the core, and knitted it using bamboo and wisteria skin.

A man from Tochigi Prefecture said, "There are good old farming tools. I usually rely on machines for farming, but I think it is efficient when working with a small amount."
