Laurent Ruquier's programs seem to be a breeding ground, if not a springboard, for the renewal of the faces of the French political landscape.

After Éric Zemmour, former columnist of "We are not lying" and presidential candidate, two other former columnists are running for parliamentary elections.

From the set of

We are not lying

to a political career, the path seems more and more clear.

With the start of nominations for the legislative elections of June 2022, two former columnists from Laurent Ruquier's program, stopped in 2020, are getting involved in the life of the city.

The former columnist Charles Consigny is running in the Yvelines, in the 4th district, for the Les Républicains party.

The lawyer had already committed in January for Valérie Pécresse's presidential campaign.

Two legislative candidates, one presidential candidate

The second columnist of Laurent Ruquier to be a legislative candidate is Aymeric Caron.

He is running in the 18th constituency of Paris, not for Les Républicains, for under the banner of the New Popular Ecological and Social Union.

Charles Consigny and Aymeric Caron are the second and third former columnists to submit themselves to the ballot of French voters this year.

Indeed, the far-right presidential candidate Éric Zemmour, sentenced for incitement to racial hatred, was a columnist for

from 2006 to 2011.
