The University of Reims (Marne) relies on the Support and Remobilization for Insertion and Orientation System (DARIO) to fight against school dropout among its students.

The program will be launched soon, before the end of the school year, reports France Bleu Champagne-Ardenne.

The first results could be visible from the start of the next school year.

Reasons already analyzed

It is indeed during this period that school dropouts are most frequent.

However, their number is difficult to estimate.

The reasons pushing students to stop their university course are, however, known.

These are mostly personal problems, orientation errors or demotivation.

DARIO is funded by the Grand Est region.

The device supervises students in a situation of dropping out.

The objective is to make the notion of failure disappear and to help them to imagine a new direction.

DARIO allows beneficiaries to maintain their student status while taking a break from their studies in order to follow internships and discover other paths.
