At noon on the day of Lixia on May 5, a sun halo appeared over Liuzhou City, Guangxi Province, lasting about an hour.
This halo is the most common type of 22-degree halo, and is produced by the refraction of sunlight by hexagonal prismatic ice crystals high in the sky.
