LA SPA de Lyon has just revealed an improbable discovery on its Facebook account.

A resident of the metropolis of Lyon indeed found a small monkey in a garden on Tuesday.

This is a black brush marmoset that the association could not accommodate.

"The refuge of Brignais (Rhône) not being suitable for the reception of wild animals, we naturally entrusted the animal to a specialized reception structure, where our inspector took it the same day", specifies the Humane Society (SPA) on Facebook, without revealing the exact location of the discovery.

The SPA has also warned the municipal police and the national police, and an investigation has been opened to find the owner of the animal.

"The detention of primates by individuals is prohibited in France and it constitutes an offence", recalls the association.
