Less stress, fewer wrinkles?

At the microphone of Julia Vignali and Mélanie Gomez in "Bienfait pour vous", beauty columnist Maud Ravier gives you advice on how to reduce facial wrinkles and take care of your skin, which is largely exposed to your daily stress.

Massages, drainage, meditation… Europe 1 takes stock of the different techniques to pamper your face.

Is relaxing the key to wrinkle-free skin?

For Maud Ravier, beauty columnist in

Bienfait pour vous

, stress is closely linked to the well-being of your skin.

"Stress blocks the oxygenation of the tissues. We are on oxidative stress, that is to say that the skin will tighten. There will not be enough oxygen which will come to nourish the cutaneous tissues. We will end up with plaques, pimples. And inevitably, the wrinkle will be created because the skin is not nourished", begins the columnist.

Oxidative stress causes skin aging and therefore wrinkles.

A natural reaction

According to Maud Ravier, it is difficult to fight stress, which is a natural reaction of the brain.

"You should know that at the base, the stress was made for those attacked by a lion. So, we started running," she explains jokingly.

"This means that the brain sends a message to the body which is to give oxygen to the heart, to the muscles. And suddenly, the skin not being vital at all, it is not nourished and dries up. ."

Even though lion attacks are almost non-existent now, this brain reaction still applies.

And in the case of daily stress, especially at work, the skin becomes very stressed, and it shows.

A person subjected to this stress will have a dull complexion, tight wrinkles and dark circles and puffy eyes.

The cold, a miracle cure?

“When we are stressed, the stress hormones cause the vessels to dilate or narrow,” confirms the beautician.

"From then on, blood circulation and lymphatic drainage is not good and we wake up in the morning with puffiness, dark circles."

According to the expert, this can even affect the color of the skin.

To avoid these effects, only one solution: pamper your skin!

Maud Ravier advises massages, drainage, cold.

"It's really magical."

The cold is a real beneficial actor for the skin.

"You can put the famous gua sha stones in the fridge, but otherwise, you can also simply put the serums in the fridge. Because the icy effect will force the skin to drain and remove the 'pocket' side", advises Maud Ravier.

Relax at least 30 minutes a day

The beautician deplores a lack of general care and insists: you have to relax at least 30 minutes a day.

"Either in the morning or in the evening, to walk, to move, to do yoga techniques, meditative techniques. It's so important," she repeats.

To less stress your skin, it is essential to bring calm to the body.

In this sense, several scientific studies prove that meditation calms stress, improves breathing and reduces the risk of serious diseases such as cancer.

To help you breathe better, there are even several applications dedicated to cardiac coherence.
