The official version remains that of the overdose without determining whether it was the result of a voluntary or accidental act.

One thing is certain: his myth is also fueled by his premature death.

"She died at the age of 36. She's a shattered star, if Marilyn Monroe had lived longer, I don't know if the myth would be as strong today", confides Olivier Lorquin, the president of the Museum. Maillol in Paris, who organized several exhibitions on the icon.
