China News Service, Xining, May 4th, topic: Qinghai "hit a wall" Youth Entrepreneurship: Find your own "Z axis"

  Author Pan Yujie

Sitting in front of the computer, cooperating with both hands, and using the mouse and keyboard to make a satisfactory design on the coordinate axis is the favorite thing of Ma Bowen, an entrepreneurial youth from Xining City, Qinghai Province.

Looking at the X, Y, and Z axes extending in three directions, he often thinks of his past life.

Due to congenital cerebellar atrophy, Ma Bowen did not enter the first grade until he was 11 years old. Walking to school, holding a pen and writing, he had to put in several times the efforts of his classmates.

"On the road, I always took two steps and fell," he recalled. Although he stumbled, he insisted not to let his parents pick him up and took the bus to school by himself every day.

Relatives suggested that Ma Bowen's parents should let him study in a special education school for the disabled, but he was unwilling, "that means treating himself as a real disabled person." Finished high school.

After he was admitted to a technical secondary school, Ma Bowen officially began to study graphic design.

In addition to digesting the content taught by the teacher, he often browses foreign language websites, translates while searching, finds design materials, collects logo patterns, and learns color contrast and other related knowledge.

In 2018, Ma Bowen, who was still studying, opened his own store, specializing in the design of graphic advertisements, posters, and promotional pages.

Over the years, enterprises, restaurants, schools, and government agencies have gradually become his clients.

In the early days of his business, Ma Bowen drew inspiration from other people's works, spent several months, repeated ideas and revisions, and finally designed an eagle pattern logo composed of acronyms, which not only meets the needs of customers and enterprises, but also has an artistic sense. , get 30,000 yuan of income, earn the first pot of gold in life.

"People who do design need ingenuity." Ma Bowen named his store "Lingsi": "Inspiration does not come from one's own imagination. You must see more and accumulate more, and you can't stop learning." Now, at the age of 27, he has successfully Graduated from Qinghai Transportation Vocational and Technical College, majoring in digital media application technology, and registered for the entrance examination.

Outside of work and study, Ma Bowen also likes outdoor activities. When the weather is good, he rides with friends and plays table tennis.

It has always been a pity in my heart that he was not able to engage in his favorite auto repair industry, but he learned to ride an electric motorcycle and travel more freely.

On weekdays, Ma Bowen also likes to pay attention to various digital products and 3D printing technologies that are rapidly iterated.

This year, he designed a 3D pen holder based on a scaled-down building model as his graduation project.

In his opinion, the appeal of 3D works is that they are "more imaginative than flat surfaces, and you can constantly change the angle of view of the same work, and the effects are different".

In the future, Ma Bowen wants to design more 3D products with cultural connotations.

"In the past, life was like drawing a plane on the X and Y axes, and it was impossible to break through the limitations of external conditions." However, Ma Bowen believed, "If you continue to work hard and add a little inspiration, you may find a new Z axis that will bring me Leading to another space, making life rich, concrete, and full of possible choices.” (End)
