On the 5th of Children's Day, a national organization aiming for administrative measures that respect children's voices held a seminar in Tokyo, and an environment for men who were abused by their parents and raised in orphanages to hear their children's voices. I appealed for the necessity of making.

The seminar was held for the first time by the "National Child Advocacy Council" established in March in order to respect the voices of children themselves and reflect them in administrative responses to child abuse and recommendations for national systems. ..

At the seminar, two young people who were protected from abuse and spent time in orphanages and foster homes took the stage and talked about their own experiences.

Of these, Hibiki Fuse (27), who was abused by her mother, said, "Life in an orphanage after escaping from my life was a painful experience for me. I really wanted you to notice it. "

On that basis, he emphasized the need for support, saying, "It is important to create an environment for listening to children's voices," such as increasing the number of staff at the facility so that they can face each child.

In the future, the council will work on the development of human resources to listen to the voices of children and young people and projects that connect activities in each region, and will lead to policy proposals to the country.

Kensuke Yasuko, the secretary general of the council, said, "Younger generations in their teens and twenties are working together, and for children who can't say what they want to say," Feel free to give your opinion to adults. I want to convey that, and I want to create a society where children have their opinions and it is natural. "
