Egypt .. Theft of the property of a jewelry seller after being lured through "Facebook"

A woman lured a jewelry seller from the city of Mahalla in the middle of the Delta in Egypt to display his goods on "Facebook" and stole his gold artifacts under duress.

Security forces in Giza arrested 4 people accused of luring jewelers from Mahalla al-Kubra in Gharbia Governorate to Kerdasa police station, beating him and stealing gold jewelry from him at gunpoint, according to the "Al-Bawaba News" website.

In details, the head of the investigations of the Kerdasa Police Station in the Giza Security Directorate received a report from a person residing in Al-Mahalla Al-Kubra in Gharbia Governorate, stating that a woman had called him on the phone and claimed that she was suffering from an organic disease and that she wanted to buy gold jewelry that he had shown on the social networking site “Facebook” and residing in the center’s department.

The Egyptian website said that the victim, upon his arrival, was surprised by 3 people and a housewife who seized the gold jewelry under duress at gunpoint and fled.

It stated that after verifying the authenticity of the report and after legalizing the procedures and obtaining prior permission from the Public Prosecution, the accused were arrested and found to be 3 persons and the housewife of one of them, and they were taken to the center's office.

All necessary legal measures were taken regarding the incident, and they were referred to the Public Prosecution to conduct investigations.
