This is no longer a rumor.

Star Academy

, a cult show from the

early 2000s, will definitely be back on TF1.

“Orchestrated by Nikos Aliagas, the most famous musical academy in France will soon welcome a new promotion,” the channel announced on Wednesday in a press release.

The day before, a short announcement had been broadcast during a commercial break during the broadcast of

Koh-Lanta

.

In the program ?

“Singing, dancing, theatre… In order to become complete artists, this school of excellence will offer passionate and talented academicians the opportunity to follow intensive training surrounded by the best teachers”, it is explained.

The casting to participate is also now launched (registration here).

The return of the famous castle?

According to

Le Parisien

, this new season could be broadcast in the fall and should again take place at the castle of Dammarie-les-Lys, the same as at the time.

Note that this same castle indeed appears in the video unveiled by TF1 on Tuesday evening.

Many mysteries still hover over the new formula of the show.

Starting with the team of teachers.

"The renewal will be total," says the daily article.

Similarly, it is not yet known if the daily format will also be back, or on which channel.

Last fall, the

Star Academy

celebrated its 20th birthday.

On occasion, the channel had brought together several candidates from former promotions to remember the good old days.
