China News Service, Hefei, May 4th (Chu Weiwei) "National Geographic Classic Image Exhibition" recently appeared in Hefei, Anhui Province. The exhibition exhibited nearly 150 works during the period from 1888 to 2020, and added works in China for the first time.

"Hefei is the 12th stop of the touring exhibition. The 'Taowei Huaxia' section is a Chinese work, and it is also the theme added for the first time." Zhu Jianfang, the curator of the "National Geographic Classic Image Exhibition", introduced the section "Traditional Hakka Houses in Fujian". "China's Terracotta Warriors", "Red River Hani Terraces" and other 12 works, I hope everyone can enjoy the classic photography works together and witness the splendor of Chinese civilization with the world.

Zhu Jianfang introduced that the exhibition consists of 8 major themes: exploration and discovery, the beauty of the earth, the mysterious life, the brave into the unknown, the new horizon, the voice of environmental protection, the photographers of "National Geographic" and the majestic China.

The works exhibited in this exhibition cover a vast space, from the northernmost point of the earth to the southernmost point of the earth, from tiny objects to the vast universe.

The content is rich in subject matter, including diverse shooting materials such as humans, animals and plants, architecture, and nature.

"The panorama work area is also a highlight." Zhu Jianfang said that the longest work is 5.8 meters, and the photos taken with the 360-degree complete scene range provide an "immersive" viewing experience for everyone, showing a super shocking visual experience .

Standing in front of the screen, explore the changes in light and shadow of the urban landscape, the detailed ravines of the mountains, rivers, lakes and seas, and even the skin texture under the lens, as if you are in a real scene, and you can see the whole picture of the city and nature.

Panoramic works also allow people to escape the visual limitations and angular barriers of paper viewing in the past, and can experience the powerful visual impact from a more macro and comprehensive perspective.

During the May Day holiday, the exhibition also attracted many Hefei citizens to visit and punch in.

"The most impressive section is 'Tower China'. When the works in China are displayed one by one, I feel as if I have come to China. Walking in the corridor is actually a different way to appreciate China. At this time, there is another emotion that arises spontaneously—pride.” said Wang Yunqing, a resident of Hefei.

It is reported that the exhibition will be held from April 30 to September 12, 2022.
